Friday's clinic is held at the organization's dental and screening clinic located in Ensenada. The clinic generally starts between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., and ends usually by 6 p.m.
There are three major functions of the Friday clinic:
- Screen new patients for surgery
- See returning patients for post surgery care
- See general dentistry patients
The various departments are:
The surgery staff spends Friday preparing supplies and equipment for the coming day. Preparation includes stocking of carts and cleaning and sterilization of instruments. Supplies are requested from the warehouse. Instruments are washed, milked and assembled into sets then sterilized in the sterilizers at the clinic.
The surgeons and Director of Surgery compile the list of patients who will have surgery on Saturday.
