From Thousand Smiles Wiki
The Hospital General de Ensenada is where surgeries on cleft patients are performed.
The hospital is modern and well-equipped. Subject to availability, Thousand Smiles has access on Saturday to surgery rooms, as well as patient recovery rooms, for use in performing cleft surgeries.
The hospital is located at:
Carretera Transpeninsular km 113
Fracc. Valle Dorado
22785, Ensenada, B.C.
From the clinic you will go south on Ave Mexico to the electrical sub-station. That is Ave Delante. Make a RH turn and follow that street to Ave Reforma. There is a Pemex Gas Station on the NW corner of Delante and Reforma. Make a LH turn on Reforma, which changes name to Carretera Transpenisular and head south until you come to Blvd Paseo de la Playa, that will be Km 113. The hosital is on the SW corner of Carretera Transpenisnular and Blvd Paseo de la Playa. Be on the lookout for a Waldo's Mart store which is on the NW corner of the same intersection.
For you GPS users the coordinates to the Hospital are:

Parking is a problem. There is a parking lot at the southeast end of the facility. Entrance is from the Transpeninsular Highway.(31°49’ 25.50”N, 116°35’58.76”W) Please avoid parking in the staff parking lot at the northwest corner of the hospital. Almost all spaces in that lot are reserved. You can use spaces in that area outside the gate or available spaces on the street. Never leave valuables in sight in your parked vehicle. We have had very few problems in almost 20 years but a little care will make it even less likely that you will have a bad experience.
Push to talk
Bring your own as the hospital supply is limited. You must change in the hospital changing rooms. Hospital rules prohibit anyone from entering any restricted areas with clothes which have been worn outside of those areas. Likewise if you leave the restricted areas for lunch you will have to change into your street clothes in the dressing room before leaving and back into your scrubs before returning. Shoe covers are required without exception. Do not leave valuables in the dressing room.
You will find that the requirements are more stringent than the ones practiced in the United States. Even if you feel that some of these requirements are not necessary, if you are going to work in their facility, you must follow their rules. Please do so with a smile.
