Parking

Parking is a problem. There is a parking lot at the southeast end of the facility. Entrance is from the Transpeninsular Highway.(31°49’ 25.50”N, 116°35’58.76”W) Please avoid parking in the staff parking lot at the northwest corner of the hospital. Almost all spaces in that lot are reserved. You can use spaces in that area outside the gate or available spaces on the street. Never leave valuables in sight in your parked vehicle. We have had very few problems in almost 20 years but a little care will make it even less likely that you will have a bad experience.

Obtaining Scrubs

Bring your own as the hospital supply is limited. You must change in the hospital changing rooms. Hospital rules prohibit anyone from entering any restricted areas with clothes which have been worn outside of those areas. Likewise if you leave the restricted areas for lunch you will have to change into your street clothes in the dressing room before leaving and back into your scrubs before returning. Shoe covers are required without exception. Do not leave valuables in the dressing room.

You will find that the requirements are more stringent than the ones practiced in the United States. Even if you feel that some of these requirements are not necessary, if you are going to work in their facility, you must follow their rules. Please do so with a smile.
